FROM THE STONE …TO THE COMPUTER
Archaeological section of the Civic Museum and multimedia classroom

From the combination of classically motivated activities during the museum visit and the activities developed in the multimedia classroom, an active methodology is created: students will be instructed in a series of entertaining activities related to archaeological finds, allowing them to create a ‘children's newspaper of the museum’, deepening their historical-archaeological knowledges. Age group: Elementary School Students/3rd Class Duration: 3 hours.

YOUNG REPORTERS IN THE MUSEUM OF CONVERSANO
Archaeological section of the Civic Museum and multi media classroom

Students can experiment in new ways of learning and in new languages of massmedia communication through the experience of the guided tour in the museum and with the use of computer technology. With the use of images taken of the museum, students will select images and, with the information learned during the visit, they will comment and report. Organizing themselves into groups of directors and speaker's, they will simulate a real journalistic process using audio-video. Age group: Secondary School Students/1st Class Duration: 3 hours.

DIRECTORS OF THE TIME
Castle, multimedia space

The fascinating history of the Castle of Conversano will be relived by students through the role of directors, image and sound technicians, historical administrators, and copywriters. The instructional activity aims to allow students to experience the Castle through the experimentation of computer technologies (digital apparatuses, audio-video recording, PC). Students will be directly involved in the creation of a multimedia product, focusing on the architectural and artistic elements of the most representative monument in the city. Age Group: Secondary School Students. Duration: 3 hours.

The learning activities can be personalized in content to suit the needs of teachers in their specific planning. In every case, activities can be adjusted for different levels of instruction.
