Archaeological section of the Civic Museum and teaching classroom
This laboratory proposes the teaching of ancient knowledge and crafts: the construction of vascular forms through the use of the lathe, and the cooking and decoration of the built forms. During this experience, students will create ceramics of geometric styles and red figures, with the purpose of imitating the vases found in the rich funeral displays of the ancient inhabited area of Norba, currently displayed in the museum. Age group: Elementary and Middle School Students.
Duration: 5 hours
A DIVE INTO ART
Picture-gallery and decoration space
This artistic laboratory makes an alternative approach to children in art. The point of departure is the pictorial series “Jerusalem Delivered”
of Paul Finoglio, displayed in the Picture-gallery of the Castle. Wearing the cloths of the painter as projected in the era of the Counts of
Acquaviva of Aragon, the children, with brushes, cloths and colors, give life to their expressive imagination, transforming themselves from
visitors to protagonists, and from viewers to artists. Recommended participants: All ages. Duration: 3 - 4 hours.
